Selling homes in West Hampstead

Homes are being sold in the West Hampstead area which is the section of North Western London. West Hampstead sits between Childs Hill and Frognal/Hampstead lying North East and is also surrounded by a Swiss cottage lying east of it and Kilburn which is the South West area near South Hampstead.

West Hampstead was not always this name but was named rather West End Lane. In 1879, Metropolitan Railway named West End the current name of West Hampstead mainly because the station of West Hampstead was near West End Lane which is the main road of this area.

West End Lane is a popular area in which the locals enjoy because of the atmosphere which has a "village" feel and is surrounded by many shops, cafes and bakeries.

Transportation through West Hampstead is quite convenient since the Metropolitan Railway is nearby on Finchley Road - not to mention that West Hampstead has its own train stop "West Hampstead. There are also stations named after West Hampstead that of "West Hampstead" and" West Hampstead Thames Link Railway Station". There are also convenient bus routes as well as other train stations such as Silver Link and First Capital Connect.

Selling Homes
There is great demand for the sale of properties here as well as high demand for rental properties and potential buyers can view large family homes, Victorian houses or upscale flats. Buyers will be drawn towards the crisp beauty of the semi-detached brick houses lining West End Lane and Finchley Road. Unique are the new developments of apartment complexes in the area and these complexes are modern but with less character. The populace here is young professionals due to West Hampstead being very near the city.

Celebrities might be spotted along these streets. Matt Lucas, Jim Carter, Stephen Frye and Emma Thompson are among some of the celebrities taking residence here not to mention contestants from "The X Factor" television show. Surprisingly, West Hampstead is not considered as upscale as its counterpart - Hampstead.

One can enjoy the many shops along West Hampstead that include the popular "Primark" in Kilburn and just around the corner of High street in Hampstead are a few fancy boutiques to enjoy. There are also a few charity shops on West End Lane that offer customers great deals. Shops include Cancer Research, Scope and Oxfam to name a few as well as a quaint bookstore for those who enjoy reading located on West End Lane.

Wine bars and cafes will be found along West End Lane/West Hampstead and one will notice popular chains such as Nandos and a unique old school nightclub spot on West End Lane. Yet another popular club in the same location is "The Lower Ground Bar" which many of the locals find most interesting.

Those desiring other styles will enjoy nightclubs such as The Gallery, Czech Bar or Ye Old Black Lion. Cinemas are also in the area and include the "02 Cinema" on Finchley Road or "Screen on the Hill" in Belsize Park which is a bit further out.
